Sidney Daily News, Monday, March 28, 1977 2A obituaries Mrs. Anna M. Barhorst FORT LORAMIE Mrs. Anna M. Barhorst, died yesterday at 2 a.m.

at the Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys. She had been ill two years. She was born Jan. 20, 1903 in Fort Loramie, daughter of Joseph and Caroline (Siegel) Barlage.

On Nov. 22, 1922, she and Albert H. Barhorst were married. He died July 10, 1970. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs.

Orville (Alma) Mangen, New Bremen, Mrs. LeRoy (Norma) Koverman, Van Wert, and Mrs. Vernon (Joan) Vondenhuevel, Minster, four sons, Al J. and Harold both of Minster, Carl J. and Ernest both of Fort Loramie; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs.

Vernon (Clara) Eiting, Dayton; three brothers, Frank Barlage, Fort Loramie, William Barlage, Botkins, and Herbert Barlage, New Bremen. Three brothers and a sister are deceased. Mrs. Barhorst was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, and the St.

Ann's Ladies Sodality. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, with the Rev. Joseph Bruening officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, tomorrow from 2 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until the hour of services. Charles F.

Folk ST. MARYS Charles F. Folk, 45, 1119 Indiana who was very active in the Alcoholics Anonymous program in the Sidney area, died yesterday at 3:40 a.m. at Lima St. Rita's Medical Center.

He had been ill for some time. Born Sept. 27, 1931 in St. Marys, he was the son of Lamont and Julia (Keegan) Folk. On Oct.

16, 1954, he and the former Arlene J. Leschansky were married. She survives with four children, Kim, Nan, John and Bill, all at home. Mr. Folk was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St.

Marys. The Rev. Anselm Boeke will conduct services Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, St.

Marys. Friends may call at the Yoder-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, tomorrow from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lena Jane Houck Mrs. Lena Jane Houck, 71, 4091 Elida Road, Lima, mother of James K. Houck, Turner Drive, Sidney, and Mrs. Carl (Doris) Taylor, Lakeview, died yesterday 2 p.m.

at Lima Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 5, 1905 in Rockingham County, daughter of George and Nellie M. (Landis) Reese. Her husband, Glenn Houck, died in 1958.

Survivors include a son, two daughters, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Lewis Memorial Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Lima, with the Rev. Paul King officiating. Burial will be in Sugar I Creek Cemetery, Lima.

born Sept. 17, 1886 in Kansas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Cox. Survivors include his widow, the former Ramie Larry; three children, Mrs.

Luther (Helen) Jacks and Mrs. Henry (Ruby) Hayes, both of R.R. 2, DeGraff; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 18 stepgrandchildren. Mr. Cox was retired from the Howard Paper Mill, Urbana.

Services were held today at the Walter Funeral Home, Urbana. Burial was in the Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana. George W. Meranda DeGRAFF George William Meranda, 95, R.R. 1, died Saturday at 2:34 a.m.

at Bellefontaine Mary Rutan Hospital. He was born April 23, 1881 i in Jackson Center, son of George and LaDora Susanna (Jacobs) Meranda. On Oct. 7, 1900, he and the former Addie V. Hook were married.

She died Aug. 27, 1967. Surviving are three children, Mrs. A. J.

(LaDora) Stayrook, DeGraff, Mrs. Howard (Georgia) Dodson, R.R. 1, Quincy, and Carl, Toledo; nine grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, a sister and two brothers preceded him in death. Mr.

Meranda was a life member of the Stony Creek Church of the Brethren. Services were held today at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, with the Rev. Clarence O. Brubaker officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, DeGraff.

Graham, a 1941 graduate of Ohio Northern University, Ada was an executive buyer for the Westinghouse Lima. He was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church and the Town and Country League, both of Ada, and the Kenton Elks Club No. 157. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
