How Did TCU Become the Horned Frogs? The answer goes way back to 1897, when the yearbook staff of the then-named AddRan Christian University was looking to name its annual.

The tradition dates to the 1920s, when the song was first written and introduced to the TCU fan base. The lyrics are mostly nonsense — “Riff, Ram, Bah, Zoo/Lickety, Lickety, Zoo Zoo/Who, Wah, Wah, Who/Give 'em Hell, TCU!” But the song always excites the TCU fan base.
