The Associated Press cused of injuring a police officer who was trying to arrest him was caught Tuesday after a three-hour search, police said. Geoffrey Upham, 27, was charged with four counts of felo, nious assault against four different. police officers, plus two counts of resisting arrest and one count of failure to appear in court, police Maj.

Bill Becker said. Patrolman James Hall, who tried to serve an arrest warrant on Upham inside a convenience store, suffered a back injury when he was knocked away from Upham's car as Upham drove off, Becker said. Three other officers suffered sprains or bruises, Becker said. Upham was found about three hours later in a barn about one mile from the store, police said. According to Municipal Court records, the arrest warrant was issued because Upham failed to enter a court-imposed intervention program.

Upham began to fight with Hall and tried to leave the store, witnesses said. As Upham attempted to drive away, he shifted his car into reverse, trapping Hall inside the open driver's-side door. Witnesses said Hall was flipped over and fell off the car onto the street.
