"Jim" Lundy James E. "Jim" Lundy, 87, died at 9:25 July 17, 2013, at Springview Manor Nursing Home. He was born on July 9, 1926, in Clark Co. to Ernest and Charlotte (Brackney) Lundy who preceded him in death. On July 12, 1954, he married Charlotte (Mathison) Lundy who survives in Lundy Lima.
He was LIMA Lundy a WWII Army Veteran. He was also a member of East Liberty Lodge and a 54 year member of Lima Chapter Jim and his wife owned and operated the Varsity Shop in downtown Lima from 1965 to 1995. He also served on the Board of the Lima Chargers Hockey Team, a semi-pro team that played in Lima until the early 70s. Jim helped many of the young hockey players find a job and place to live. The Lundys provided a home to former Charger Mike ('hartrand during his first years in Lima and Mike worked at the Varsity Shop for many years.
The Lundys provided his "home away from Jim loved to play golf and spent many hours on the course at Hawthorne Hills Golf Course and at their winter home in Florida. LIMA Roxanne A. "Roxie" Blanchard Roxanne A. "Roxie" Blanchard, 83, died at 9:30 p.m. July 16, 2013, at her residence. She was born June 10, 1930, in Wapakoneta, to Charles and Evedna Walker Comer.
In 1957, she married Lee Roy Blanchard, who died in 1983. Mrs. Blanchard was a 1948 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. Most recently, she was a home- Blanchard maker. Through the years she had worked as a bookkeeper and then a seamstress with the Time ('leaning Co.
until she retired in 1989. Some of her hobbies were antiquing and traveling all over Ohio attending auctions. She also enjoyed sitting at the table with friends, having a cup of coffee and playing a game of cards. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born September 21, 1931 in Ottoville to the late Harold and Velva (Schaeffer) Peters. On May 31, 1954 she married Carl H. Remlinger who died September 25, 1990.
She is survived by 7 children: Mark Remlinger, Bruce Remlinger (Debra) Remlinger, Keith (Linda) Remlinger, and Debra Miller all of Kalida, Jeffrey (Margaret) Remlinger of Plainfield, Diane (Kurt) Utrup of Glandorf, and Dan (Samantha) Remlinger of Concord, 19 grandchildren; 12 great -grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister: Stella (Donald) Briggs. Dolores was a homemaker. She had worked for Loving Care in Ottawa, Kids Count in Kalida, McDonalds in Ottawa, the Tap Room in Kalida, and GTE Sylvania in Ottawa. She was a member of St.
Michael Catholic Church, Kalida and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a charter member of the Ohio Polka Boosters, she taught (CD for 26 years until the age of 78, and was a Cub Scout Den Leader. She was a graduate of Ottoville High School Dolores loved spending time with her children. grandchildren, and great -grandchildren, especially playing cards and games and attending their sporting events.
